“The Veg Table”
This employer has an innovative way of making healthy eating easier for its workforce.
Every six weeks all 35 employees of this City-based boutique asset management company get together during a lunchtime to eat a healthy, vegetarian lunch, provided by the company itself.
This initiative, called “The Veg Table” (a table in the boardroom), encourages staff to sit and eat together, to socialise away from their desks and to think differently about a plant-based and more environmentally-sustainable diet. They see this as an alternative to “Meat-Free Monday”, which their staff reported can feel a little strict and too prescriptive.
The Veg Table is a hit with staff and the HR lead reports it is very easy to coordinate.
