HIV has changed! Are you up to date?
Around 113,500 people are living with HIV in the UK. With HIV now being a manageable long-term health condition, we have the tools and resources to prevent the onward transmission of HIV. However, around 5,000 people in the UK are unaware that they’re living with HIV.
This training session will give you the up to date knowledge to talk openly and confidently about HIV. We’ll cover:
- Positive East services
- What is HIV?
- Transmission and preventing HIV beyond condoms
- Who is impacted by HIV?
- Addressing HIV stigma, fear and barriers to accessing care
- Treatment and supporting people living with HIV
Whether you work directly in sexual health or not, you can help and be a part of reaching the 2030 HIV goals of zero new transmissions, zero HIV-related preventable deaths and zero stigma and discrimination.
