Active City Network’s Best Practice Guide 2019
The Active City Network is a forum led by the City of London Corporation, for local employers and the community. Its aim is to promote and support better and safer walking and cycling – also known as “active travel” in the Square Mile. Active travel has significant health benefits and can be an easy way for City workers to reach recommended physical activity levels despite busy lifestyles and long working hours.
The third edition of the Active City Network Best Practice Guide 2019 has been published. It shares best practice, learnings and tips and tricks from a range of employers and stakeholders in the City of London on how they encourage and support staff to travel by active means. The guide also includes information on the health benefits of active travel and also looks at other related issues, such as air quality and sustainability.
Be sure to check out the article on pages 12-13, written by a member of the Business Healthy team, which looks at the health, wellbeing and productivity benefits of getting out and about during the working day.Visit site
