Mental Health at Work Report 2017 – Business in the Community
Business in the Community’s report highlights some significant improvement in attitudes towards mental health in the workplace. Most employers surveyed by Business in the Community and YouGov as part of their second National Employee Wellbeing Survey now acknowledge that they have a responsibility towards their employees’ mental wellbeing. In addition, the vast majority of managers agree that what they do affects the wellbeing of their staff. Despite this, less than a quarter of managers have received any training in mental health and there also remains a pervasive culture of silence over mental health at work.
