Sleep and Recovery Toolkit
The annual cost of sleep loss to the UK economy is £30 billion and 200,000 working days are lost each year in the UK due to insufficient sleep. Insomnia is widespread, with one in three Brits affected by the condition. Poor sleeping habits can harm physical and mental wellbeing.
In partnership with Public Health England, Business in the Community has developed the first ever “sleep and recovery” toolkit, offering insight and advice on addressing the increasingly damaging sleep-loss epidemic affecting UK workers.
The toolkit is designed to help employers take simple, yet positive, actions to build a culture that champions good mental and physical health.
