What are the “Five Ways to Wellbeing”?

The “Five Ways to Wellbeing”, also known as “Five to Thrive”, are a set of evidence-based actions to improve personal wellbeing, as developed by the New Economics Foundation and the Government’s Foresight project and endorsed by the NHS.

They are:

  • Connect
  • Be active
  • Take notice
  • Keep learning
  • Give

The City Corporation’s Public Health team has worked with the CEO of the City Mental Health Alliance – Poppy Jaman OBE – to develop a series of videos outlining the “Five Ways to Wellbeing” approach. They also showcase the many opportunities that can be found in the City to help us stay well, day in, day out.

The video and shorter clips can be accessed on the City Corporation’s YouTube channel here and the videos are also available on Twitter. Please help us to spread the word by sharing the link to the YouTube/ Twitter video through your internal channels.
